Definitions

Consultation – Opening oneself to trusted peer experts for input, validation, and challenge about the quality of one’s functioning or relationships, generally about a specific segment of professional work
Certification – Authorization by a community, association, or profession to function officially as a member of it, having demonstrated and maintained competence in all relevant aspects of that group.
Clinical – Making an objective, cognitively informed, and direct observation of something to better understand and improve it.
Education – Assistance with meeting “the new” and incorporating it into one’s life among or in place of earlier understandings.
Pastoral – Care of people that is motivated by and is open to beliefs that include the existence of a power greater than the human, especially as related to the teachings, traditions, and practices of the established world religions.
